Contact ClaudeEffort
One address for corrections, questions and bug reports, and what happens after you send something.
ClaudeEffort is maintained by one person, so there is a single address for everything:
charleserver [at] gmail [dot] com
Replace the bracketed words with the punctuation they stand for. The address is written that way because a plain one gets harvested by scrapers within days, and a contact page that drowns in spam is not a contact page.
What to send here
A pricing correction. This is the most useful thing you can send, and it gets priority. If a rate on this site disagrees with the vendor's current pricing documentation, include the vendor page you checked and the date you checked it. Corrections are applied to the page itself, and the "updated" date changes so there is one current version rather than a growing errata list.
A disagreement about methodology. The multipliers behind the effort levels are labelled as planning assumptions because they are ours, not the vendor's. If you have measured ratios from real traffic that beat them, send them. Better data replaces our estimates, and the methodology page says so explicitly.
A bug report. If a table on the site disagrees with what the calculator computes, that is a bug. Tell us which page, which inputs and which numbers you expected.
A question about the tool. What a level does, which model to pair with it, why a figure moved. If it is a question more than one person would ask, the answer usually ends up in the guides.
What not to send here
- Requests for API support. We do not have access to your account and cannot help with billing, rate limits or key issues at Anthropic or OpenAI.
- Advertising or link-insertion offers. The site is funded by display advertising through a network. Paid links, sponsored posts and guest-post placements are declined.
- Anything confidential. This is a public-facing inbox run by one person. Do not send credentials, keys or customer data.
What to expect
Messages are read, but this is a side project rather than a support desk, so a reply can take a few days. Corrections to published figures are handled first. If you do not get an answer, it is usually because the question is already answered somewhere on the site — the methodology page covers most of the questions that come in about where the numbers come from.
